Temporary Protected Status (TPS)

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is a temporary immigration status the U.S. grants to eligible people from certain countries facing unsafe conditions, such as armed conflict, environmental disaster, or political instability. It allows them to live and work in the U.S. without fear of deportation for as long as the designation remains in effect.
